Stuart Matheson - Director (Phone +44(0)7946 017115)
Stuart served in the Army before working in the licensed leisure industry. As a senior manager for Rank Leisure he managed a number of multi-million pound outlets and was part of the national implementation and training team. He then opened his own pub/ restaurant in Derby and was UK operations manager for a pub and hotel group where he specialised in "turn-around" management - working with banks and other financial institutions, as well as breweries and blue-chip leisure companies. He is a Fellow of the British Institute of Innkeeping.
Stuart entered the aviation industry in the early-90's. He was part of the development team for Menzies Aviation when they commenced ground handling in the UK, and was the company's first airport manager. He then moved on as Regional Operations & Support Manager, overseeing new and existing operations in the UK and overseas. He has also worked for airlines in senior management positions and has held senior positions on executive committees of airport stakeholders. A skilled negotiator, Stuart has the skills to negotiate with unions, suppliers and other agencies. He has operational experience in the UK, Middle East, Europe and USA.
Stuart is an accredited City & Guilds and Institute of Management Development instructor. He also holds certification in all areas of ground operations and airline management.
He lives with his family in North Yorkshire.

John also served as an officer in the army before entering the aviation sector. Like Stuart Matheson, he was a founder manager of Menzies Aviation ground handling in the UK, and later became country manager in Australia and New Zealand, as well as Vice-President in charge of ground operations in the USA. Another superb negotiator, John has the proven ability to identify cost effective operational processes and solutions. Within ASG he has responsibility for our contingency and emergency response planning and delivery for clients, as well as overseeing our planning department. He has worked with clients in a number of high profile cases and has media and crisis management experience.
John has extensive contract negotiation and management experience; together with a wide range of procurement projects. He has also managed large capital investment programs throughout the world for a variety of client types. His business development skills are highly tuned and he has successfully expanded new and existing companies during his time in the industry.
John has a Bachelors degree and lives in Edinburgh with his wife and family.

Gus is a director of PRACIUS - a company specialising in contingency and emergency process planning and delivery. ASG and Pracius work together not just in the aviation sector but across other industries. These have included major oil companies, telecommunications, airports and airlines. This has included oversight of major capital investment programs and various change management scenarios. Gus served in the Army also and since leaving has worked hard on building the PRACIUS / ASG partnership; providing our unique services to major blue chip clients both in the UK and overseas. He lives just outside Edinburgh with his family.
